Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
We started this blog (and this project) with the purpose of inviting interested folks into the process of falling more deeply in love with the land and grow our connections with one another. That’s really what this is all about. We are hoping that careful cultivation of these two things will result in a just and sustainable world for our children and their children.
Common Home Farm aims to be one of those projects involved in what Joanna Macy has called The Great Turning – a humble yet essential effort of active hope in turning our neighborhoods, cities, ourselves and ultimately our world away from systems of greed and destruction towards networks of cooperation and regeneration. We have a long way to go – both in the grand sense and in our little project – to get to that point. But we think the important thing is to get started!
We invite you to look around and see if something in this initiative calls you to get involved – whether with our project or with something similar.
Blessings on your journey!
